Bell Racing Launches Economic Alternative for Carbon Fiber Helmet Style

Bell Racing launches Carbon Fiber finish for helmets. The latest trend in helmet style is Carbon Fiber but most drivers can’t afford the price tag. Bell’s new Carbon Fiber finish looks like raw carbon fiber for a fraction of the cost. A traditional Carbon Fiber helmet will run thousands of dollars where Bell’s finish adds only $99. 00 Cdn. to the cost of the helmet.

The first Bell Racing helmets with the Carbon Fiber finish were rolled out in November of 2008. In December, drivers got an up close look at the Performance Racing Industry show in Orlando, FL. Driver’s look to their helmets to customize their appearance on the track and a unique design helps them to stand out. After protection, the customization of a helmet is at the top of most racers’ lists. The Carbon Fiber finish does not change the weight or compromise the composition of the helmet. It can be painted over or left in the original style.

“As a company, we listen to drivers and what they are looking for in a helmet. One of the frequent requests we receive is for the Carbon Fiber look. Judging by the reactions the sample received at PRI, the finish is a perfect alternative for drivers who want the look without spending their entire budget for the season,” said Kyle Kietzmann, General Manager of Bell Racing.

The Carbon Fiber finish is available on the following Bell Racing helmets: T6, Dominator, Infusion (TFA, FA & Sprint Car), M4 Pro/M4 Pro Xtra, GTX, Vortex.2 (TFA & FA), BR-1, BR-1 Side Air, M4, M4 Top Air and S2R.

The new Carbon Fiber finish can be ordered through Bell Racing dealers such as CSC Racing Products in Newmarket, Ontario. Remember: The finish will add approximately two weeks to the delivery of the helmet and there's a $99.00 Cdn. upcharge to have this finish on a newly purchased helmet.
