South Buxton Raceway... rules and dates for 2009

South Buxton Raceway owner Scott Mihalco and tech inspector J.P. Marchand announced there will be no changes to track rules in any of the four classes for the 2009 season.

Tech rules can be found on the track's web site (www.southbuxtonraceway.com) under the DRIVERS icon on the home page, click on RULES and scroll to each class.

Late Model and Modified drivers are advised to check the UMP web site for any late-breaking rule changes.

For drivers in the Sport Stock class, the proposed implement of mandatory Crate Motors by the 2010 season has been rescinded. Crate Motors remain an option for drivers in the class.

However, changes will be made to the points format for the 2009 season, which will be disclosed at a general drivers meeting (the date and location to be announced).

Regular racing action takes place every Saturday night from the Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend, capped off by the fifth annual Castrol UMP Late Model/Modified Shootout on Saturday, Sept. 26.
