Merrittville Kart Results - July 1, 2008

THOROLD, ON (July 2) – Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Spring Series concluded July 1st.

Dylan Davidson and Connor Mooradian both won their 6th features of the season and as well Spring Series Titles in the KC Auto Parts Novice 2 and Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted Original Pizza Logs Divisions.

Jacob Lutz won his 7th RCM Racing Equipment Cassell Manufacturing Junior 1 Feature and as well the Spring Series Title.

James Moll won his 5th Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Feature of the year with Jordan Barnes taking the Spring Series Title.

Joshua Hanson won his 4th Drummond Home Hardware Garden City Auto Complex Novice 1 Feature of the season.  The youngest group of racers do not earn points but rookie Hanson led the way with the most wins in the Spring Series.

The final driver to visit KC Auto Parts Victory Lane was Blake Priestley who scored his third Philbrick Farm & Garden Equipment Senior Medium Feature of the year.

In the points, a rare tie occurred between Dillon MacPherson and Chris Watson for the Spring Series Title.

Although still running with the Senior Medium awaiting more competitors, Dale Cooley was credited with first place points in the PartSource Masters Division.

Merrittville Speedway’s Lucas Oil Kart Weekly Racing Series is approaching it’s busiest stretch of the season. Kart Racing continues with a Sunday Special Event July 6th. Performance Manufacturing and Slack Performance Karts present the Burris Tire 50 Twenty-five – extra distance and purse events for all divisions.

Gates open at 5:00 with racing beginning at 7:00. Grandstand admission is free.

The 2008 Summer Series opens Tuesday July 7th.
