OSS: Delaware 'Great Canadian Weekend' date announced!

OSS to be featured at the GREAT CANADIAN WEEKEND!

The Ontario Sportsman Series is pleased to announce that the 7th race to the 2008 season has been finalized with the addition of Delaware Speedway as part of the Labour Day Great Canadian Weekend. The OSS will be the feature event on Saturday, August 30th. Presented by Maple Leaf Foods, the race will consist of a pair of 50-lap races.

“We’re really happy to be able to bring our cars back to Delaware Speedway – it was the birthplace of CASCAR and has a long history of racing our style of cars. Most of our drivers cut their teeth at Delaware Speedway including Steve Robblee, Mike Alguire, Derek Clark, Mark Patrick, and Josh Wood to name a few” stated Series Director Dave Connelly. “All of our drivers are looking forward to racing on what they consider to be their home track – we’re going to put on one heck of a show and we look forward to working with Jerry and Jeff this year and continuing this relationship into 2009 and beyond.”

The Great Canadian Race Weekend is the biggest weekend of the year at Delaware Speedway. The weekend runs August 29 through August 31 and includes all Delaware Speedway divisions in active competition. Weekend pass information will be announced shortly for this amazing weekend of racing!
