At the time the race was called, Jason Hathaway was in front and earned his first career NASCAR victory. DJ Kennington was second, ahead of Ron Beauchamp Jr. for an all MOPAR-power / Dodge sweep. According to one Dodge enthusiast, there were 10 Dodges in the top 10 at one point.

Scott Steckly overcame a crash and held on for his first NASCAR points championship after many years competing in Canada's national stock car series. Steckly's title gave Dodge its first driver's championship, in addition to them earning the Manufacturers' title.

Jason White of Sun Peaks, BC emerged at the top rookie of 2008.
