NCATS: Steckly Wins Season Opener

Hamilton, ON, Monday May 26, 2008:   Scott Steckly driving the No. 22 Tow Truck in a Box/Erb Group/Reefer Sales Dodge Avenger started the 2008 season off the way he ended 2007, with a win.  This makes it two in a row for the Milverton, ON racer as he picked up the win on Saturday night at Cayuga Speedway in the Crown Jewel 200 in dominating fashion.

Steckly unloaded his No. 22 Racing Dodge Avenger from the trailer and it was quick right out of the box as he consistently posted times at the top of the charts.  A fifth place qualifying effort capped off the afternoon activities and they were set for the main event the Crown Jewel 200 later in the evening.  "The car has just been terrific all day and we just made minor changes to it during practice. " stated Steckly after qualifying.

The Tow Truck in a Box/Erb Group/Reefer Sales Avenger was the dominant car in this event, leading a total of 150 of the 200 laps.  On lap forty-six Steckly took the lead, only giving it up again once for five laps when they pitted for tires and fuel.  "The car ran really well tonight and I have my crew to thank for that.  All the hours they put in over the winter so  I need to thank all of them," commented Steckly after the race.  "I just concentrated each time on the re-start not to miss a shift or make any mistake at all.   Winning that last race last year just gave us a lot of confidence so now it is two in a row and we will see where we go from here."

In recent team news, Reefer Sales has been added as an associate sponsor with the 22 Racing Team for 2008.  "We are really happy to add Reefer Sales as an associate to our program," stated Scott Steckly.  "They are very enthusiastic about the partnership and they plan to have some of their customers and staff out to events and we hope we can notch another win for them when they do."

Additionally 22 Racing would like to thank all their associate and product supporters including:  A. W. Millwrights, D.
