Discontinued mid-range HANS devices still available
The manufacturer of the HANS devices is discontinuing the EXTRA series of devices, effective immediately. The EXTRA was the mid-range device, weighing only a 1/4 lb. more than the PRO, and has been the industry standard for the past three years.
CSC still has stock available of the EXTRA model which costs $200 less than the PRO series.
HANS will now only sell the SPORT (the 2.25-pound model which they introduced this year) and the super-light-weight, 1-pound, PRO device.
For anyone looking for a lightweight device for about $200 less than they’d pay for the PRO, they should consider the EXTRA right now (which is one pound less than the SPORT). Pricing includes the new sliding tethers, which offers full range of side-to-side head motion.

EXTRA = 1.25 lb while supplies last
PRO = 1 lb.
