Calgary City Council to vote on Motion regarding Race City Speedway

Aldermen McIver and Connelly have a motion before City Council that will be voted on during the Council meeting on Monday November 3 or Tuesday November 4. The motion basically asks Council to direct the City Administration to honour the existing lease they have with Race City Speedway. This would give Race City Speedway the opportunity to continue to exist and keep Motorsport active in Calgary...if it passes. I would ask that you, as a user or fan of this facility, email your local alderman and ask them to support this motion, and explain the affect of the loss of this facility on your business or life. The motion does not ask for anything not already granted by the City, and I think our Aldermen need to recognize that their constituents are affected if Race City Speedway is forced to close. This is the website for the Ward offices:

Thank you for taking the time to do this so that your local alderman gets the message before they vote on Monday.
