Walter Norman won the Super Stock Feature race of the day in an action filled race that saw the 99 Car of Wayne Walsh finish a close second after starting in the back of the field he also won the second Qualifier. Rookie of the year contender David Bishop in Car 19 proved he could run with the leaders by finishing in the third slot. Dwayne Carter and Randell Upshall rounded out the top five. Upshall in the City Tire car won the first Qualifier.
In Street Stock action Eason Bishop was a double winner in his quest for the championship. The 66 car of Butt & Guest picked up second and Paul Hammond in car 25 was third. Doug White in and Oldsmobile finished forth and won the first qualifier. Scottie Royal from Job`s Vove finished fifth.
Mini Stock driver Jason Groves from Heart Desire was the Winner of the feature Race and a qualifier. Paddy Murphy in the 127 car finished second in the Feature and picked up valuable points in the Race to the Cup. Larry Carey from Fermuse finished third and also won a Qualifier. Wade Traverse and Darren Burke rounded out the top five.
The Third Powder Puff race of the season was won by Julie Traverse of Placentia, second went to Sam Arden of CBS and third was Amy Dunne from Renews. Jessie Bonnell of Flatrock and Linda Hicks of Mount Pearl rounded out the top five. Amy Dunne leads the Powder Puff points Standings.

Avondale Speedway is a one third mile Clay Oval located 30 minutes west of St. John`s (NF) on the Trans Canada Highway at the Avondale Access Road(Exit 34).
