Thomson gained the lead with a few laps to go when Peter Gibbons was black flagged for spinning Andrew Ranger from the lead as they battled for top spot.
With Ranger and Gbbons out of the mix, Thomson led his teamate JR Fitzpatrick across the line. MOPAR-sponsored Ron Beauchamp Jr. Was third.
Points leader Scott Steckly did not finish as he endured more late-season engine trouble. The NCATS season finale is next weekend at Kawartha Speedway. Don Thomson likely has the best shot at keeping Steckly from winning the title.
