FLASH: Hello Newman! ... Ryan Newman leads a surprise Penske one-two finish in the Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Ryan Newman led his Penske Racing teammate Kurt Busch across the line for a one-two Penske Racing finish in Sunday's Daytona 500. The two Dodge drivers rode the high-line on the final lap and surged to the front after race leader Tony Stewart cut to the inside on the backstretch.

Tony Stewart led the white flag lap (lap 199) but admitted he "made the wrong move" by dropping down, leaving Newman and Kurt Busch to push to the lead entering turn 3. Stewart described the turn of events as "the biggest disappointment of my racing career."

With the win, Newman ended a lengthy winless streak. The Daytona 500 victory was also the first-ever for team owner Roger Penske.

The Toyotas dominated the majority of the 50th edition of the 'Great American Race' as Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart and Kyle Busch led throughout.

FINISH: 1. Ryan Newman; 2. Kurt Busch; 3. Tony Stewart; 4. Kyle Busch; 5. Reed Sorenson; 6. Elliott Sadler; 7. Kasey Kahne; 8. Robby Gordon; 9. Dale Earnhardt Jr.; 10. Greg Biffle

... more to come.
