Pierre Bourque Adds Races to 2008 Schedule with Eddie Sharp Racing

DENVER, NC - Eddie Sharp Racing announced today that Pierre Bourque has added three races to his 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. The Ottawa, Canada resident will pilot the No. 02 for Eddie Sharp Racing at Iowa, Kansas, and Rockingham speedways.

"I'm very excited to continue my driving with Eddie Sharp Racing," stated Bourque. "ESR has a strong program and I'm looking forward to working more with Crew Chief David Leiner and the entire team."

Bourque has previously competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, NASCAR Camping World Series (formerly the NASCAR Busch East Series), the ARCA RE/MAX Series and the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.

Bourque drove the No. 93 ImpreMedia Dodge for ESR in the ARCA 200 at Daytona International Speedway where he finished in the 24th position following an incident while running in the top-5. To prepare for his additional races, Bourque has tested with his ESR teammates at Rockingham Speedway and Iowa Speedway. The team attended the open ARCA RE/MAX test at Kansas Speedway, but inclement weather forced the cancellation.

"We had good tests at Rockingham and Iowa," said Crew Chief David Leiner, Jr. "Unfortunately we didn't make it out on track at Kansas due to the weather, but I know we'll be just fine there."

Eddie Sharp Racing is located in the Charlotte, NC suburb of Denver. Eddie Sharp Racing has proven to be a successful avenue of driver development, and is considered among the most elite teams in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Drivers from Eddie Sharp Racing's ARCA program have quickly advanced to the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series, two of the highest rated motorsport series in the world.
